Freedom fighter Alluri Sitharamaraju’s birth anniversary celebrations were held at the YSRCP party central office on Tuesday. On this occasion, YSRCP State coordinator, national general secretary V Vijayasai Reddy, party leaders Ummareddy Venkateswarlu, Dokka Manikyavaraprasad, Lella Appireddy, Varadu Kalyani and others paid floral tributes to Alluri’s portrait.
Speaking on the occasion, Vijayasai Reddy said.. Alluri Sitaramaraju was a revolutionary warrior who fought for the rights of the Tribals against the British colonial rulers. His struggle should be written in golden letters in the pages of history. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has named a district after him so that generations may remember Alluri, a freedom fighter who achieved such a feat. “With the spirit of Alluri, our government is at the forefront in protecting the rights of the adivasis and providing them with all kinds of support,” he added.
He said that the government had distributed house plots to the tribals and given agricultural licenses of the waste lands under their control. This government works with sincerity to protect the rights of Tribals. It is an honor to remember such a great inspirational freedom fighter, he added.
Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said that when one hears the name of Alluri Seetharamaraju, the hero of Tribals in history, the spirit of struggle ignites in everyone. Alluri was a hero and a warrior who fought against the British rulers.
Dokka Manikya Varaprasad greeted the people of the state and YSRCP leaders on the occasion of the 126th birth anniversary of freedom fighter, revolutionary, darling of the Telugu’s Alluri Sitaramaraju. Alluri was the great man who made even the illiterate forest people participate in the freedom struggle. Alluri’s sacrifice has a special place in the history of Telugus.
Varadu Kalyani said, I am proud to say that Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government is working sincerely for the welfare of the Tribals by taking the inspiration of Alluri.
