He explained that the Chief Minister’s vision is to transform the state into a hub for drone technology, which aligns with the objectives of this summit.
The event will be held at the CK Convention Centre in Mangalagiri, and will feature discussions on global drone technologies and their applications in everyday life and governance. “This summit will not only be a conference but will also aim to develop actionable plans in relation to drone applications,” said Suresh Kumar. He highlighted the necessity for analytics related to drone-captured images, indicating that current capabilities require improvement, particularly in crisis management situations such as floods.
On the evening of October 22, a spectacular drone show featuring 5,000 drones will take place along the banks of River Krishna, with Suresh Kumar announcing that this will be the largest drone display of its kind in the country. The previous largest show involved just 2,500 drones, making this a landmark event. The public is invited to witness the display free of charge.
Additionally, an exciting Drone Hackathon will be hosted as part of the summit. K Dinesh Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of AP Drone Corporation, stated that enthusiasts can register online for participation in the hackathon until October 15.
