Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath addressed recent criticisms and clarified his stance, asserting that he does not aspire to seize power similar to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. Interacting with the media persons on the sidelines of Volunteer Awards Ceremony here on Thursday, Amarnath refuted allegations levelled against him by Narendra Dhulipalla, highlighting misconceptions surrounding his role and responsibilities.
Amarnath emphasised his adherence to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s directives, assuming responsibilities for inauguration ceremonies and laying foundation stones for industries in virtual meetings. He dismissed Dhulipalla’s accusations, drawing attention to past events where political figures occupied seats of authority. Responding to queries regarding potential schemes, Amarnath affirmed that announcements could be expected, echoing Jagan’s commitment to welfare initiatives.
In anticipation of upcoming elections, Amarnath expressed confidence in Jagan’s leadership, indicating his readiness to fulfil assigned duties. Assigned as Deputy Regional Coordinator, Amarnath pledged to support party candidates across 15 constituencies in the Visakha district.
Reflecting on the government’s volunteer system, the Chief Minister emphasised its efficacy in disbursing schemes directly to citizens, particularly during the pandemic. Minister Amarnath commended volunteers for their service and advocated for continued support to sustain their efforts. The statements underscored a commitment to governance and party objectives amidst ongoing political discourse in Andhra Pradesh.
