The bust-size statues of Dr.B R Ambedkar and former deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram were desecrated by unidentified miscreants.
The two statues were located on the premises of a high school at Vadalakunta village in Gopalapuram mandal on Sunday. The faces of the two statues were damaged by the miscreants. Some youths who went to the school to play badminton in the evening of Sunday noticed the desecration of the statues. The Gopalapuram police registered a case and began an investigation.
