Union Home Minister Amit Shah directed Telangana BJP leaders to work jointly to defeat the BRS government in the next elections.
Amit Shah had a special meeting for half an hour with Telangana State BJP Core Committee members at the ‘Rythu Gosa-BJP Barosa’ public meeting venue in Khammam on Sunday. BJP Tarun Chugh, Prakash Javadekar and 20 other important leaders of Telangana attended the meeting.
It is learnt that Amit Shah asked the leaders to launch an election action plan aggressively as elections are nearing in Telangana. He made it clear that BJP leaders have to take the failures of the BRS government to the people.
He asked the BJP leaders to get ready to defeat the BRS and suggested that the leaders should publicise the slogan that the BJP is the only alternative to the BRS.
After taking the opinion of BJP leaders on the party’s condition in the state, the steps to be taken to strengthen the party and an action plan to face elections, Amit declared that there would not be any alliance with any party in Telangana. The BJP has no connections with the BRS in Telangana like the DMK in Tamil Nadu and the Communists in Kerala.
He said that the BJP high command will extend full support to state BJP leaders.
