After the Karnataka elections, the BJP’s national leaders and the Congress will be completely focussed on Telangana with stress on youth. Amit Shah and AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi will quickly shift to Telangana once the campaign ends on May 8 Monday.
While Priyanka Gandhi will enter Telangana and start attending public meetings on May 8 itself, Shah’s plans are yet to be finalised.
Telangana Congress will organize the ‘Yuva Sangharshana Sabha” at Saroor Nagar Stadium, Hyderabad on May 8. From this public meeting, Priyanka Gandhi will release the “Hyderabad Youth Declaration,” which contains various initiatives related to youth that will be implemented after the Congress comes to power in Telangana state.
Recently, the TSPSC paper leak issue increased the gap between the unemployed and the BRS. Youth and unemployed organizations have conducted many protests against the BRS government. In both the rallies for the unemployed by Bandi Sanjay and Revanth Reddy, many unemployed organizations rallied with parties against BRS.
Both the BJP and the Congress Cadres are excited about their leadership visit. Sources in the Congress said, “Many surveys have predicted that Congress has high chance of winning in Karnataka. Priyanka Gandhi is addressing many rallies and public meetings in Karnataka state and engaging with the public. Previously, Priyanka Gandhi took complete responsibility for the elections in Himachal Pradesh. In the Himachal Pradesh elections, Congress won with a comfortable majority and formed the government. Now, Priyanka Gandhi’s entry into Telangana has become very interesting for the public and political circles as well.”
BJP which is also focussed on youth will be addressing them apart from a very big focus rally on September 17.
Sources in the BJP said, “Everyone knows Amit Shah is compared to Chanakya. His mere presence will change the course of election and the Telangana BJP cadre is always excited with him. For him, the lowest level karyakarta to the top most are the same, so they like him more. Unlike PM Modi ji, Amit outrightly attacks the BRS with sharp words evident from the recent Chevella meeting.
Initially, locations were scouted for his permanent stay, but now everything will depend on his visits. Definitely, many visits are in the pipeline soon after Karnataka closes.”
