Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Andhra Pradesh to work in unison and effectively communicate the Central government’s developmental initiatives to the public. Addressing party leaders and members at a meeting in Vijayawada on Sunday, Shah emphasised the need to resolve internal differences and focus on strengthening the BJP in the state.
The meeting, chaired by BJP Andhra Pradesh president and Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeswari, was attended by prominent leaders, including MPs and MLAs. Shah, the chief guest, discussed strategies to promote the central government’s assistance to Andhra Pradesh and reviewed the party’s position in the state.
According to sources, discussions also covered the political landscape, coalition dynamics, and potential leadership changes to strengthen the party. Shah highlighted the importance of publicising central schemes and packages to create greater awareness among the people.
Stressing the need for unity, Shah urged leaders to prioritise party consolidation over personal disputes. He congratulated the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and BJP members for successfully organising the “Hindu Shankharavam” event, which he described as a testament to collective effort.
Recent incidents in Tirupati-Tirumala were also discussed. Shah assured leaders that the Home Ministry is closely monitoring the situation and advised the party to act in alignment with public aspirations while respecting Hindu sentiments.
Amit Shah’s address reflected the BJP’s commitment to expanding its presence in Andhra Pradesh and ensuring the state benefits from the central government’s initiatives.
