Even though people are wondering about the message of the BRS’ Khammam meeting, the BRS thinks that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao projected the fact that “Start-up governments are the need of the hour.”

A BRS leader said, “Breaking away from traditional politics, like start-ups, four Chief Ministers did brainstorming publicly. This innovation was needed in politics.The Khammam meeting should not be seen as a political meeting but as an administrative meeting.

There was an open discussion between the Chief Ministers. They were able to share the good points of each other, schemes that they want to replicate and the issues they are facing. This is the first time that Chief Ministers could talk about real issues, instead of just talking about politics and showing the true spirit of Federalism.”

Arvind Kejriwal and Baghwant Singh Mann wanted to replicate Kanti Velugu in their states and Telangana wanted to replicate their schooling and education model.Currently, the BRS is like a start-up which is in seed stage in a bootstrapped mode and it wants to introduce innovation in politics. Like start-ups that have had several rounds of funding, the BRS may also go through the same cycle.

A new valuation of BRS is carried out at the time of each funding round. “Our Chief Minister made our pitch openly to the public and potential people who are interested. Every start-up will make its pitch. Be it AAP, the Left, the BRS, everyone shared their thoughts. Now voters are the king to decide, if they want to encourage innovation and let it become a Unicorn start-up, or term it a failure. Potential investors, that is, other parties are free to join. At the centre it will be a consortium of like-minded parties,” a party leader said.

It may be mentioned here that for eight years Telangana was projected as a start-up state guided by the 3I mantra of Innovation, Infrastructure and Inclusive growth.

The BRS leader said, “The meeting ignited the federal spirit as the debate needs to be more on development instead of political issues. The Congress and the BJP know only traditional politics, but the Khammam meeting showed a new way of sharing knowledge and managing politics.”
