Police transfers are dime a dozen. However, when Prakasam District Superintendent of Police Malika Garg was transferred to Tirupati; she was given an emotional farewell by officers and staff of various departments. For, Malika Garg, during her stint of two years and seven months in the district, won the hearts of police department employees by evincing interest in their welfare measures far beyond the call of her duty. She also won accolades by providing ‘best policing’ in the district during her stint. The giant garland that graced her neck at the felicitation mirrored the gratitude of the department.
