Anam, Kolusu lay stone for ghat road to Sobhanachala temple

Minister for Endowments Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, along with Housing and I&PR Minister K Parthasarathy, laid the foundation stone for the construction of Ghat road to the Sri Sobhanachala Vyagraha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Agiripalli on Thursday.
The 2-km ghat road to the hill shrine will be constructed at a cost of Rs 2 crore. The Endowments Minister inaugurated the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kalyana Mandapam at Agiripalli.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramanarayana Reddy said that action plans were being formulated to develop temples and protect their properties. He stated that there are 27,000 temples to which committees can not be formed. However there are 1800 temples for which committees can be formed, he said, adding that people who belong to the OCs, BCs, SCs and STs will be accommodated in the committees.
The government enhanced the allowance to the temples, whose income is less than Rs 50,000 to Rs 10,000 from Rs 5000, the Endowment Minister highlighted. He assured of allocating Rs 10 lakh from the TTD’s Srivani trust to some of the temples which are in a dilapidated state for reconstruction and renovation of some temples in the Nuzvid constituency.  The Chandrababu Naidu-headed government is committed to implementing all the assurances in the coming days, he reiterated.
I&PR Minister Parthasaradhy pledged that efforts would be made to develop temples in the Nuzvid constituency and make the constituency a leading tourist centre in the state. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that he is thinking of developing the famous shrines in the state more spiritually and developing them as spiritual tourist centres as well.
In this regard, Nuzvid Constituency has a thousand Swayambhu Kshetras which have thousands of acres of forest land and thousands of acres of tanks with reservoirs, he observed.
The people of the constituency have been yearning for a long time for the construction of a ghat road to the hill shrine Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple and their wish would come true as soon as the stone was laid today for the construction of the ghat road, the Minister acknowledged. Collector K Vetri Selvi, RDO Y Bhavani Shankari and other officials were among those who attended the programme.
