Ananya Nagalla to debut in Bollywood with women-centric film

At a time when many Hindi actresses are making inroads into Telugu cinema, Telugu actress Ananya Nagalla is set to go the other way—making her debut in Hindi films.
Ananya, a software engineer-turned-actress, began her career with short films like Shaadi. She earned widespread recognition with Mallesham and later starred in the Pawan Kalyan-starrer Vakeel Saab. Her performances in films like Play Back, Tantaram, Pottel and the web series Bahishkarana showcased her versatility.
According to sources, Ananya is now headlining a women-centric Hindi film titled Kaanta, produced by Himmat Ladumor under the Ektaa Film Entertainment banner and directed by Rakesh Jaggi. She will play a tribal girl in this film.
