Anjali Anand talks about breaking the barriers

Actress Anjali Anand recently uploaded a still of herself from her debut Bollywood film under the Dharma Productions banner ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ which is grabbing all the eyes, and the brief caption to the portrait surely gives an idea about how the actress was fully involved in her character ‘Gayatri,’ The diva portrayed Ranveer Singh’s sister and her performance is unskippable in the film. Not only this but in recent times she also had a ball of a time on India’s biggest stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Anjali started her acting career with Television shows and played a major lead role in the daily soaps but her name rosed to instant fame after bagging Karan Johar’s directorial RRKPK, the actress is in hot talks for her dialogue delivery and comic timing which she has done beautifully in the film. As the movie’s plot revolves around Rocky and Rani aka Ranveer and Alia with a certain twist and turns that culminates with Rocky and Rani getting married, in which Anjali Anand is seen wearing a turban in the marriage scene which had all the attentions of viewer and due to which she’s getting a lot of DM’s on her social media from her fans.

Opening up about the same, Diva took to her official Instagram handle and uploaded a picture from the sets of RRKPK and also uploads some past pictures of her in which she is seen wearing pagdi, captioning this post she writes, “Getting so many messages about my decision to wear a pagdi for Rocky’s wedding in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

So many women are saying they’re inspired to do the same, either as a look or for their brothers or friends weddings.” She continues, “It was a collective decision made by me and the creators of the film to go ahead and Make Gayatri wear a pagdi for Rocky’s baraat sequence.”

She adds, “Fun fact- I have worn it twice before, maybe more for my brothers’ and close friends’ weddings because, baraati hai, taiyaar ho kar aayenge.”

She concludes, “The joy it gives me to see how people are messaging me about this, breaking barriers, accepting culture and traditions and at the same time making it their own Go ahead and follow your heart and I promise, you’re not alone.”
