Minister for IT and Industries Gudivada Amarnath made some interesting comments about the Executive capital yet again on Saturday in Visakhapatnam. The Minister said that in another two months, Vizag will be turned into the Executive capital of Andhra Pradesh. The minister further stated that the port city will be transformed into an Information Technology hub.
The Minister was the chief guest of the two-day Infinity Vizag – The IT Summit held in Visakhapatnam.
Speaking on the occasion, Amaranath said that very soon Infosys centre will be launched in Vizag. He also said that the government will sign an MoU with the Wipro company. He said that 15 per cent of employees in the IT industry in Telangana are of Telugu origin and 10 out of the 15 Telugus are from Andhra Pradesh origin. He further said that 25 IT employees out of 100 in the USA are of Telugu origin.
He said that Vizag city is the ninth richest city in India and very soon Adani Data centre will be launched in the city. The State government’s main aim was to transform Visakhapatnam into an IT hub. A few IT company representatives also shared the stage with the IT Minister.
