The Andhra Pradesh government has issued orders constituting the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) on Wednesday. Former special chief secretary Dr Manmohan Singh has been appointed as its Chairman.
The PRC Chairman has been directed to submit its report within a year. Last month, the State Cabinet meeting chaired by Jagan Mohan Reddy had given its nod for setting up of the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC).
As per a Government Order, the PRC will study various aspects like conditions of service of various categories of employees of the State Government, local bodies, aided institutions, non-teaching staff of the universities including Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) and Dearness Allowance (DA).
The commission will submit its report to the Government within one year from the date of assumption of charge of the Pay Revision Commissioner.
