PNS | Vijayawada
BJP State president, Daggubati Purandeswari, and national secretary, Y Satya Kumar, met with Governor S Abdul Nazir in Vijayawada. They talked to the Governor about two main issues: how money meant for village development has been used for other things and how the State government has borrowed a lot of money. They asked the Governor to take action about these problems.
After the meeting, Purandeswari spoke to the media. She said the State government is not good at managing money and has borrowed too much. She wants the Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, to explain the State’s financial situation. She also warned that if the government keeps making bad financial decisions, the BJP will protest. She said the government promised to help villages, but it hasn’t done that.
She explained that because money meant for village projects was used for other things, villages couldn’t finish their projects. The people in charge of the villages (called Sarpanches) couldn’t even pay small bills. Some people who worked on these projects even killed themselves because they were so worried. The Governor is thinking about these problems and should help the Sarpanches and villages, she said.
Purandeswari also said the State government borrowed about Rs 7.44 lakh crore (a lot of money), even though it’s not following the right rules. She said the government is saying it has money, but it’s not true.
BJP national secretary, Y Satya Kumar, said the central government gives money to help villages, but the State government used that money for other things. The village leaders tried to get the money back, but the government didn’t listen.
Kumar also said the State government took more than Rs.19,600 crore from the village funds. He said the government should create a commission to manage money correctly and give back the money it took.
Other BJP leaders were also there, and they all asked the Governor to do something about these problems as soon as possible.
