The much awaited visit of Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Andhra Pradesh ended in a difference of 24 hours. By going through the speeches of these two leaders, it has been that Revanth Reddy was daring enough than Narendra Modi in criticising their political opponents.
The Andhra Pradesh Congress held a public meeting at Visakhapatnam which was attended by Revanth Reddy. The TDP, Jana Sena and the BJP jointly held a public meeting at Chilakalurpet which was attended by Narendra Modi. These two public meetings were held in the wake of the forthcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections and the Lok Sabha elections. In Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections the main fight is between present Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Interestingly, Chandrababu is the political guru of Revanth Reddy and Jagan Mohan Reddy is an indirect ally of the NDA and a close associate of Narendra Modi.
But in the changed political circumstances, Chandrababu and Revanth Reddy, Jagan and Narendra Modi have turned as political rivals in the coming elections. In this backdrop, the AP visit of Revanth and Modi has created enthusiasm in the people of both Telugu states. Whether Revanth Reddy in his AP visit will criticise his political guru Chandrababu and at the same time whether Modi in his AP visit will criticise the indirect ally of NDA and his close associate Jagan.or not was the debatable question. But, Revanth Reddy proved that he has guts than Narendra Modi in criticising his political opponent, whoever it may be.
In the Visakhapatnam public meeting, Revanth Reddy directly criticised his political guru Chandrababu. But in the Chilakalurpet public meeting Narendra Modi did not mention even the name of Jahan. Revanth Reddy in his speach questioned whether Chandrababu or Jagan would oppose Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also asked whether they (Babu and Jagan) have the guts to question Prime Minister Modi on the issues of the State. Revanth Reddy criticised the BJP as Babu, Jagan and Pavan. He said that even if Jagan or Chandrababu wins the election both will be pushed into the fold of Modi.

Meanwhile, in the Chilakalurpet public meeting Narendra Modi disappointed Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan with his speach. Against the expectations of the TDP and Jana Sena, Modi did not target Jagan directly and he did not even mentioned the name of Jagan. Moreover, Modi in his speach concentrated more on Lok Sabha elections than the AP Assembly elections. Modi urged the support of AP people to secure over 400 Lok Sabha seats in the coming general elections. Modi emphasised the need for a double engine government in Andhra Pradesh for historic development. In this connection, political circles opined that if Jagan retained power it will also become double engine government like in the past four-and-a-half years. Modi did not ask directly to defeat Jagan nor did he ask the people to vote for TDP alliance in the Assembly elections to make Chandrababu the chief minister. In this way, Modi disappointed the TDP and the Jana Sena in his AP visit.
