Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) Chairman and Managing Director, Devarakonda Lakshmi Parthasarathy, has reiterated the government’s vision to develop Amaravati as an environmentally friendly and world-class capital city in harmony with nature. As part of this effort, she led an ADC delegation to study prominent parks in New Delhi on Friday and Saturday.
On the first day, the team visited Nehru Park and the expansive Asian Park located in the Chanakyapuri Diplomatic Enclave, which covers around 80 acres. Lakshmi Parthasarathy said the officials examined the development and maintenance efforts by park management, focusing on green initiatives designed to maintain a cool, winter-like environment even in Delhi’s intense summer heat.
On Saturday, the delegation toured the Aravalli Biodiversity Park in the Vasant Vihar area, which spans 699 acres and is dedicated to restoring Delhi’s natural biodiversity. The CMD highlighted the park’s emphasis on environmental education for students and public awareness programmes promoting conservation.
Through these visits, the ADC aims to adapt successful strategies from Delhi’s parks to enhance Amaravati’s urban landscape, ensuring it remains sustainable and eco-friendly as the city grows.
