Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, at a crucial meeting with NITI Aayog representatives, unveiled plans to transform Andhra Pradesh into a $2 trillion economy by 2047. The focus of the discussions was the AP-2047 vision document, which outlines strategic development goals for the coming decades.
During the meeting, CM Naidu highlighted the need for a holistic approach to policy-making, stressing that efforts would address both macro and micro levels. As part of this strategy, district-specific vision documents are being created to guide growth over the next five years.
The CM assured that measures are in place to ensure access to cutting-edge medical services for all residents, alongside a commitment to environmentally sustainable development. He also reiterated the state’s ambition to lead in digital governance and sustainable economic growth. CM Naidu spoke about ongoing efforts to establish Andhra Pradesh as a hub for industrial growth and renewable energy. He outlined plans to develop the state into an international tourist destination and to turn various cities into dynamic growth centres.
Additionally, Chief Minister Naidu underscored Andhra Pradesh’s potential as a key agricultural processing hub and expressed a commitment to enhancing youth skills across industries. He also announced plans to position the state as a major logistics hub for the eastern coast of India.
