Minister for Labour, Boilers, and Health Insurance Vasamshetty Subhash hailed Andhra Pradesh’s success at the recent Davos summit, describing it as a landmark achievement in attracting global investments. Over four days, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh engaged with representatives from over 50 companies.
Speaking to the media, Subhash stated that the State is poised for rapid development across North Andhra, Rayalaseema, and Coastal Andhra regions.
He commended CM Naidu and Minister Lokesh for their visionary leadership, which earned the state recognition among top industrialists at Davos. Subhash also highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s robust infrastructure, abundant resources, and investment-friendly policies, which were effectively showcased to the global business community. The Minister emphasised the state government’s ambitious goal of creating 20 lakh jobs for youth, crediting CM Naidu for pursuing investment opportunities under challenging circumstances. Referring to Naidu as the “Chanakya of Andhra Pradesh,” Subhash praised his relentless efforts, even braving the harsh weather conditions in Davos, to secure the state’s future.
Subhash also mentioned that global business leaders such as Bill Gates, CEO of Microsoft, and N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Group, are now considering Andhra Pradesh as a potential investment hub, thanks to the Chief Minister’s proactive approach.
The Minister criticised former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for allegedly damaging the state’s industrial ecosystem during his tenure. He accused Reddy of turning the Davos trip into a “vacation” rather than focusing on securing investments for the state.
Minister Subhash concluded by expressing confidence that the momentum generated at Davos would transform Andhra Pradesh into a preferred destination for global investors.
