AP will host National Games in 2027: Chinni

Vijayawada Parliament Member Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) has announced that the National Games will be held in Andhra Pradesh in 2027, with Vijayawada being one of the host cities. He noted that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is making significant efforts to ensure the successful organisation of the National Games in the state.
MP Kesineni Chinni attended a meeting of the Polytechnic College Walkers Association at the college grounds in Vijayawada on Sunday. Recently, Chinni was elected as the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) President. In this connection, the association representatives honoured MP Chinni.
Addressing the gathering, Chinni said that Vijayawada City, in addition to the capital Amaravati, would be developed in the next five years. The state government is giving top priority to sports and games, and as a result, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is considering conducting the National Games in Vijayawada in 2027, he said.
Furthermore, he stated that in addition to city development, he would strive to enhance sports and games in the city. CM Naidu aims to give Amaravati a special identity. As part of this, the government has chosen to host the National Games, he added. The official announcement will be made shortly.
Additionally, Kesineni Sivanath expressed his intention to establish a Cricket Academy in Vijayawada, noting that there is currently no available space in the city to construct a new stadium. He also announced that within six months, the Mangalagiri International Cricket Stadium will be completed.
