The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) celebrated the victory of the Congress in Telangana at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan in Vijayawada on Sunday. After the election results came out, APCC chief Gidugu Rudra Raju and other party leaders gathered at the party office for celebrations.
The Congress party won a majority of seats in the Assembly elections in Telangana and will form the government soon. The APCC had arranged a big screen to watch the election result trends.
Rudra Raju said that the Congress leaders worked together for the Karnataka State Assembly elections and as a result, the party came to power there. The same formula was implemented in Telangana and the party has registered a great victory in the State. If this unity is maintained in the coming Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, the party will win, he added. APCC working presidents Sunkara Padmasri and Janga Gowtham, organising secretary R Rama Murthy, leaders K Sivaji, D Murali, N Narasimha Rao and others were present.
Later, Gidugu Rudra Raju met the TPCC chief and to-be-assumed Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad and extended his wishes.
