The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught APCPDCL AE red- handed while demanding and accepting a bribe on Monday.
A power consumer G Praveen Kumar approached APCPDCL AE B Srinivas Rao for allocating a three-phase electricity connection to his new house in Ibrahimpatnam. The AE demanded Rs 50,000 for doing the same. The victim approached the ACB officials and on Monday they laid a trap and caught AE Srinivas Rao and junior assistant I Gopinath red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 50,000. The AE was arrested by the ACB officials and later he was produced before ACB special court.
