AP JAC Amaravati Chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu has warned the State government that if it does not address the pending issues of the employees by February 5, they will be left with no option but to intensify their agitation. Bopparaju participated in the meeting held in Anantapur as part of the preparatory meeting of the third AP JAC Amaravati State conference to be held in Kurnool. He said that the employees are asking the government respectfully for their long-pending dues. He condemned the rumours that there is no unity in the employees’ unions and said that once the agitation begins all the unions will unite and fight against the government.

The AP JAC Amaravati chairman demanded that the dues to the employees should be paid immediately. He pointed out that the State government was using the employees’ money. He further said that earlier salaries were paid before festivals but now the situation has arrived to ask to pay salaries on the 1st of every month and what the employees are entitled to according to the law was also not being paid. He recalled that the government had promised cancellation of CPS and did not care to resolve it. He further pointed out at not giving Minimum Time Scale, RTC employees allowances besides regularization of outsourcing and contract employees.

Despite bringing to the notice of many committees formed by the government no positive outcome, not a single rupee was given to the families of the deceased due to Covid, and even retirement benefits are not paid, said Bopparaju Venkateswarlu.
