Foolproof arrangements are being made for the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Group 1 Mains examinations that will be conducted from June 3 to 10, said the APPSC Chairman Gautam Sawang. Addressing media persons here on Wednesday, he said that the exams would be held at 11 centres across 10 districts in the State to fill 111 vacant posts.
The Chairman said that notification for the exams was released in September 2022 and the Group 1 Preliminary Examination was conducted on January 8. The results were announced in a record 19 days and 6,455 candidates qualified for the Mains exams. As many as 5,668 candidates have downloaded their hall tickets so far from the APPSC official website.
He also said that there would be seven papers for the examinations that will be held from 10 am to 1 pm every day from June 3 to 10 except on June 4 (Sunday). He made it clear that the candidates would be allowed to enter the examination center from 8.30 am to 9.45 am. Candidates appearing for the examination will undergo facial recognition and a biometric system before entering the exam hall. The exam centre gates will be closed after 9.45 am. The Mains exams results will be announced in July and the interviews will be completed in August.
Gautam Sawang said notification would be issued soon to fill the Group I and II posts. Through this, APPSC will fill more than 1,000 posts in the State. The officials are collecting the details of vacancies from various departments and issuing notifications, he added.
