In a major breakthrough in the APPSC Group-1 digital evaluation scam, police have arrested Pamidikalva Madhusudhan, director of a Hyderabad-based firm, for irregularities during the previous YSRCP regime.
Though manual evaluation was mandated for the December 2020 Group-1 mains, the process was secretly shifted to a Guntur resort and digitally handled by Madhusudhan’s firm, which was paid Rs 1.14 crore. Following candidate complaints, a court-ordered manual re-evaluation revealed over 60% errors.
