The Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) has prepared a schedule for the 46-day ‘Adudam Andhra’ sports festival which will be commencing on October 2. In this connection, CS Dr KS Jawahar Reddy conducted the ‘Adudam Andhra’ State-Level Apex Committee meeting at the camp office in Vijayawada on Monday.

In the meeting, CS enquired about the arrangements for the sports festival. Also, mandal-level matches will last 16 days, constituency and district-level matches seven days each, and the finals at the State-level will continue for five days,” CS said.

He stated that ‘Adudam Andhra’ was focusing on five games — cricket, badminton, volleyball, kabaddi, and kho-kho. In addition to these games, marathon, yoga, and tennikoit events would be organised, he said. Cash prizes and mementoes would be presented at the constituency-level, district-level and State-level competitions, he added.
