The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has been honoured with the prestigious SKOCH Award for successfully implementing the Unified Ticketing System (UTS) across its buses statewide. This system has enhanced passenger convenience and operational efficiency, significantly boosting digital transactions and improving the travel experience.
On behalf of APSRTC Managing Director Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Chief Engineer (IT) Y. Srinivasa Rao received the award at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Saturday. The award was presented by Union Education Department Secretary Sanjay Kumar and SKOCH Group Chairman Sameer.
The APSRTC has introduced cashless transactions through a dedicated mobile app, issued digital tickets, and installed a tracking system on all buses. These initiatives have been instrumental in modernising the corporation’s services, making it a deserving recipient of the SKOCH Award.
