APSRTC offers training in heavy motor vehicle driving

Sk Abdul Salam, APSRTC Driving School Principal and Depot Manager, Guntur-2, has said that the driving school is offering heavy motor driving training to light motor vehicle licensed drivers in towns and villages under Guntur Parliamentary constituency. He said that the Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving Training School was functioning at Guntur-2 Depot. They have so far offered training to 11 batches and that for the 12th batch will start soon. He said that interested LMV licence holders could register their names. The seats are limited to 16 per batch.

He explained the features of driving school and the nature of classes. Every day, for one hour, different parts of the vehicle, their functions, different types of roads, painting marks on the roadside, signboards and signal boards on the side of the roads will be explained in detail.

Also, one has to drive the bus for15 kilometres. Videos will be used to explain how to prevent accidents. Also, in their garage, experienced mechanics will show the trainees all the parts of the vehicle and explain their working in detail.

Sk Salam added that training in ghat road driving is offered on the Kondaveedu ghat road. After the completion of the training programme, form-5 and form-5A certificates will be issued enabling the candidates to participate in the test conducted by RTA and get the heavy driving licence.
