The Telugu Film Industry is abuzz with discussions about two top actors, Allu Arjun and Jr NTR and their strained relationships with their families.suresh kavirayani
The Telugu film industry is currently witnessing intense chatter about two of its biggest stars, Allu Arjun and Jr NTR, who appear to be sidelined by their respective families. Both actors hail from prestigious film dynasties—Allu Arjun from the Mega Family and Jr NTR from the Nandamuri Clan. Despite their towering successes, their recent treatment within their circles has sparked debate and controversy.
Allu Arjun’s strained relations with the Mega family
Mega Star Chiranjeevi had a few days back attended the American Progressive Telugu Association’s (APTA) Global Business Conference Katalyst in Hyderabad, where he shared anecdotes about his early struggles and career. While he praised Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan, he made no mention of Allu Arjun, despite the latter delivering massive hits like Pushpa: The Rise and Pushpa: The Rule (in Hindi).
Speculation suggests that the Mega Family’s distance from Allu Arjun began after his visit to Nandyal. Even when Allu Arjun returned from jail recently, no Mega Family members visited him and the actor himself has refrained from mentioning Chiranjeevi or Pawan Kalyan in public events for months.
Chiranjeevi’s comment at the event—“Behaviour is a very important trait for every person. If you are a talented actor, it comes secondary, but your behavior comes first. If you feel that you are on the top, your fall down starts”—is widely believed to be an indirect remark aimed at Allu Arjun, allegedly referring to the actor’s demeanor following the success of Pushpa.
Jr NTR’s fallout with the Nandamuri clan
Jr NTR, too, finds himself in a similar predicament within the Nandamuri family. In a recent episode of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s talk show Unstoppable, director Bobby Kolli—who directed Jai Lava Kusa—spoke about all his films except the Jr NTR-starrer. According to sources, the omission was intentional, as the Nandamuri family has ongoing differences with Jr NTR.
Jai Lava Kusa was a major hit for Bobby Kolli, marking a successful comeback for the director after the failure of Sardar Gabbar Singh. Fans have criticised the omission, speculating that it reflects the growing rift between Jr NTR and Balakrishna. The backlash escalated, with Jr NTR fans even calling for a boycott of Balakrishna’s upcoming film Daaku Maharaaj.
Producer Naga Vamsi urged fans to stay calm, stating on social media, “This is our film, and I need everyone’s support. Let’s make it a blockbuster success.” Director Bobby clarified that the omission of Jai Lava Kusa was due to the event organisers not including the film in the presentation slides.
The apparent sidelining of Allu Arjun and Jr NTR has ignited heated debates on social media. Fans have taken sides, with many calling out the alleged unfair treatment of the two actors who have contributed significantly to Telugu cinema.
Both incidents have brought internal family dynamics to the forefront, with questions being raised about professional jealousy, egos and strained relationships in Tollywood’s biggest dynasties.
While Allu Arjun and Jr NTR remain silent on the controversies, their fans continue to passionately defend them online, making this one of the biggest talking points.
