Arrangements made for NTR Bharosa pensions in EG

All arrangements have been finalised for the disbursement of NTR Bharosa social security pensions in East Godavari district.
District Collector P. Prashanthi stated that Rs 102.14 crore would be distributed to 2,36,331 pensioners on February 1. She mentioned that 5,158 Pension Disbursing Officers (PDOs) have been entrusted with the responsibility of disbursing pensions across 9,041 cluster areas in the district.
In a statement on Friday, the Collector informed that the election code of conduct has come into effect following the notification for the MLC graduates’ constituency election. She added that necessary instructions have been issued to ensure pension disbursement adheres to the guidelines of the Election Commission.
The Collector further revealed that the disbursement of NTR Bharosa social security pensions would commence at 6 am on Saturday, with pensions being delivered directly to beneficiaries’ homes.
“Arrangements have been made for the distribution of NTR Bharosa social security pensions at the doorsteps through 5,158 PDOs across 9,041 cluster areas in the district on Saturday. Each PDO will distribute an average of 46 pensions. The disbursement will begin at 6 am,” Collector Prashanthi confirmed, adding that Rs 102.14 crore will be disbursed to a total of 2,36,331 beneficiaries in 17 categories through the relevant bank branches.
DRDA Project Director NVVS Murthy also stated on Friday that the cash withdrawal process had been completed from 71 branches of 11 banks across the district.
