In spite of the vendetta politics raging in Telangana, the two main parties are gunning at each other for public sympathy. Who will get more sympathy after the arrests and attacks? Both the BJP and the TRS are trying to play the victim card.
When it comes to sympathy politics the BJP seems to be winning. After the attack on BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind, he got a call immediately from the BJP State president, national president and Amit Shah. Even the Governor reacted and urged immediate action. The next day a BJP state leader visited Arvind’s house.
But when it comes to the TRS, when a similar protest was held at Kavitha’s house in August, the party reacted slowly.There were no immediate reactions.A day later, ministers slowly started coming. Forget the party president, even the working president never reacted on the issue.
What’s worse is that TRS Ministers are asking where was Sanjay, Kishan and the Governor when Kavitha’s house was gheraoed?
Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy said on Saturday, “When there was an attack on Kavitha’s house where were the Governor, Kishan Reddy and Sanjay? When Arvind said KCR is trying to “sell” his daughter where was the Governor? The BJP tried to create problems in the families of Sharad Pawar, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Hemanth Soren, Ram Vilas Paswan, and Krishna Patel.”
