Another small film, Artiste, is hitting the screens on March 21. Directed by Ratan Rishi and produced by James Watt Kommu, the trailer for this psychological thriller was released on Tuesday. “This is a psycho-thriller that blends elements of suspense, fear, comedy and romance. The story carries a lot of emotion and the last 20 minutes of the movie are especially intense,” said director Ratan Rishi.
He added that the audience will definitely feel good about the film after leaving the theater. “Suresh Bobbili has composed a new background score that perfectly matches the emotional tone of the story,” the director said. He also noted that the film doesn’t contain much violence, as the trailer may suggest. “In typical psycho-thrillers, the plot revolves around finding the killer after a murder, but in our film, we build suspense by revealing the villain early on,” he explained.
“Making a film and bringing it to release is not an easy task; it requires a lot of hard work. I’ve traveled back and forth from the USA for this film, and my goal is to provide opportunities to new talent and encourage them,” said producer James Watt Kommu.
This is his second film and he worked mostly with newcomers. He added that Mythri Movie Distributors is handling the film’s release.
“We’ve made a film with strong content and I hope the audience enjoys it,” he said.
