Arvind meets Shah over strategy for polls

Bharatiya Janata Party leader and MP from Nizamabad Dharmapuri Arvind had a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday at Delhi. It is learnt that Arvind discussed with Shah the prospects of the party in the upcoming Assembly elections.

The Telangana BJP has been receiving applications from ticket aspirants since September 4th and the process will continue till September 10th. It is learnt that the two leaders discussed Arvind role in the Assembly elections.

The party plans to field Telangana unit’s top leaders against the Chief Minister and the Ministers. Accordingly, it may field Arvind in the Kamareddy Assembly constituency against CM KCR.

It may be recalled that Arvind had thrown a challenge that he would defeat KCR by contesting from Kamareddy. He also commented that KCR was contesting from Kamareddy too as he was afraid of defeat in the Gajwel constituency.

After the meeting, Arvind said that they had discussed political developments in Telangana and the strategy to be adopted by the BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections. He said that he had discussed with Amit Shah the party’s winning chances in the seven Assembly segments under his Parliamentary constituency.
