Aspirants of TSSP (Battalion) posts laid siege at Telangana Secretariat to cancel GO 46. They demanded to take up selection as per the old rules and do justice to rural students.

Police detained the protesting aspirants. Earlier last week, they protested at the DGP office. The aspirants said that 2016 and 2019 police recruitment has happened without any ratio-wise distribution for TSSP (Battalion) posts to aspirants.

The aspirants explained, “But now, 2022 police notification has been released with GO 46, which means per every 100 TSSP (battalion) posts in Hyderabad district, aspirants get 21 posts, Rachakonda aspirants will get 16 posts, Cyberabad aspirants will get 16, Suryapet district aspirants will get only 6 posts, Mahabubnagar aspirants will get only 5 posts and here almost 90% of the aspirants from Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubnagar, Sanagareddy, Wanaparthy, Nagarkarnool , Gadwal and Vikarabad district aspirants would be deprived.

So, if Hyderabad aspirant gets 70 marks out of 200, he will get a job in TSSPC, but Nalgonda aspirant cannot get a job even if he gets 130 marks out of 200.”

Earlier, 2016 and 2019 notifications had given TSSP posts to all the districts equally. Aspirants from the districts say that they can’t get a job as easily as the aspirants in Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Ranga Reddy.

Work of TSSP is almost everywhere in Telangana state but allocation of jobs is from the district itself of the aspirants.
