The Assembly condoled Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sayanna on Thursday. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao moved a condolence motion in the Assembly and paid tributes to the departed soul.
On the first day of the Monsoon session, the Chief Minister remembered the services of Sayanna in various capacities including as an MLA. The CM also remembered his close association with the departed BRS MLA.
Sayanna made all efforts to merge the Cantonment area with Hyderabad and made representations to the government regarding that several times. The good news is that the Centre has positively responded to the demand to merge the cantonment area with the GHMC.
KCR said that Sayanna, who was born in Nizamabad district, shifted to Hyderabad and began life as a small businessman. He always stayed away from controversies.
The CM said that Sayanna’s daughter Lasya Nandita served the people as a corporation councillor for two terms.
“Sayanna’s family is our family. We will definitely support Sayanna’s family,” the Chief Minister said and moved a condolence resolution in the Assembly.
No one can fill the void created by the loss of Sayanna, the CM said and the House unanimously expressed its deep sympathy and condolence at the passing away of the MLA. Following the speaker’s announcement, the House observed silence for two minutes in memory of Sayanna.
