Forum for Good Governance president M Padmanabha Reddy said that as per the election affidavits, A Revanth Reddy and T Raja Singh are having the highest number of criminal cases, with 89 cases each. Out of 360 candidates, 226 MLA candidates of four parties have criminal cases against them. Around 63 per cent of the MLA candidates are having criminal cases against them.
Forum for Good Governance held a press meet in Press Club, Somajiguda. Padmanabha Reddy said, “In our analysis of affidavits, from the INC, Revanth Reddy has the highest number of criminal cases with 89, followed by Vedma Bojju from Khanpur (ST) constituency with 52 cases. After Raja Singh from the BJP, Bandi Sanjay Kumar has 59 criminal cases. Gangula Kamalar has 10 cases against him, followed by KCR with nine cases in the BRS.”
Padmanabha Reddy said, “Out of 360 candidates, 226 MLA candidates of four parties have criminal cases against them. Around 63 per cent of the MLA candidates are having criminal cases against them. BRS has given 58 candidates, BJP has given 78, INC has given 84, AIMIM has given 6 candidates out of 12 are lodged in criminal cases. Which means 48 per cent of the BRS, 70 per cent of the BJP, 84 per cent of the INC, 50 per cent of the AIMIM candidates are having criminal records”.
“BRS has given 7 tickets, BJP and INC have given 11 each from their parties,” he added. FFG secretary Soma Srinivas Reddy, Vivek and other FFG members participated in the meet.
