‘Attempt to topple Congress government’

TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids on Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy are intended only to topple the Congress government. Mahesh said the ED raids on Ponguleti were conducted as per the advice of the BJP and the BRS and that it is all part of the BJP’s vengeance game.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Mahesh said that the ED raids are an attempt to threaten Congress leaders as the BJP is unable to digest the support the Congress government in the state is getting from the public. He assured that the party would stand by Congress leaders.
It is not right to play cheap tricks to topple the Congress government, Mahesh said. He pointed out that 97 per cent of the ED raids in the last 10 years were against opposition leaders aimed mainly for political purposes.
