In a bid to boost industrial development within the State, Andhra University, in partnership with the Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce of Industry Federation (AP Chambers), organized a business seminar as part of the ongoing American Telugu Association (AATA) celebrations. The event served as a platform for comprehensive discussions on various economic aspects, aiming to stimulate industrial growth within Andhra Pradesh.
The seminar was graced by Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath, who highlighted the proactive initiatives undertaken by the State government to attract and support businesses. He emphasized the array of incentives offered, including land, electricity, water, and critical infrastructure, to facilitate the establishment of industries within the state.
Prominent figures from the AP Chambers actively participated in the discussions, covering crucial topics such as food processing, port-based economy, pharmaceuticals, and women empowerment. This included president Potluri Bhaskar Rao, former president G Sambasivarao, and Lee Pharma MD Leela Rani.
The urgent need to foster IT job creation in Andhra Pradesh took center stage during the seminar. Representatives from the Central government, State government, public sector, and NRI business owners urged companies to consider relocating to AP. The appeal was based on the State’s robust infrastructure, skilled workforce, and attractive incentives.
Jayant Challa, chair of AATA celebrations and president elect, expressed optimism about AATA’s role in contributing to the comprehensive development of Andhra Pradesh. He assured attendees that AATA would actively collaborate to attract and establish industries within the State. Challa expressed gratitude to Andhra University and the AP Chamber of Commerce for their support in organizing the successful business seminar.
