Aus Consul-General interested in green energy opportunities

Silai Zaki, Australian Consul-General in Chennai, and David Eggleston, Australian Deputy Consul-General, had discussions with KVN Chakradhar Babu, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of NREDCAP and Managing Director of APGENCO, on green energy opportunities in the State on Wednesday.
The VC & MD, NREDCAP, apprised the Australian Consul General on investment opportunities in the State in the green energy sector including wind power, solar power, pumped storage, and the production of green hydrogen and green ammonia. Silai Zaki stated that development of a Green Economy is one of the key pillars/priorities of the Australian government. She expressed interest in collaboration and investment in the renewable energy sector in Andhra Pradesh and said that the Australian companies are keen to invest in green hydrogen and green ammonia production in the State.
The Australian Consul-General also visited the State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) in Vidyut Soudha and the officials of APTRANSCO and SLDC explained the Grid Operation and Management system being adopted by the AP SLDC.
