Avika Gor rose to fame after her performance in the Uyyala Jampala. The actress later went on to do many wonderful films in Tollywood and created a niche for herself.
She also donned the hat of a producer for her film Popcorn sometime back. Busy with a few projects in hand, the actress has now bravely shared her experience of being sexually harassed by a bodyguard in Kazakhstan. She recounted how she confronted the guard when he attempted to touch her inappropriately as she was heading towards the stage for an event. She vividly remembered sensing his intentions for a second attempt and promptly intervening.
Speaking to a news portal, Avika Gor described the unsettling incident, stating, “I remember as I was about to go on stage, someone tried to touch me from behind. When I turned around, I saw it was the security guard and no one else.” She expressed her disappointment and recounted her reaction when faced with the situation again, saying, “It’s shameful… I looked at him and asked, ‘What?’ He apologised, and I let it go. They don’t realise the impact of such actions on the other person. If I had the courage to retaliate, I would have done so numerous times. Now, I feel capable, but I hope it doesn’t come to that.”
Avika Gor has grown up in the entertainment industry, featuring prominently in successful television serials like Sasural Simar Ka and Laado – Veerpur Ki Mardani. Transitioning to Telugu cinema, she made her debut in 2013 with Uyyala Jampala. Currently, she has wrapped up filming for Bloody Ishq and continues to pursue her career in both television and cinema.
