Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu participated in the Palle Panduga programme on Monday, where he laid the foundation stone for road works worth Rs 40 lakh.
During his address at the festival, Ayyanna Patrudu highlighted his achievements in the Narsipatnam constituency. “In just 100 days, I have secured Rs 40 crore for the Narsipatnam constituency. Of that, Rs 14 crore has been allocated to Natavaram mandal.” He emphasised the importance of timely investments in infrastructure to foster growth and improve residents’ quality of life.
Ayyanna Patrudu didn’t hold back in criticising the previous MLA, saying, “The former MLA claimed to have brought crores to the constituency, yet they couldn’t even allocate Rs 3 lakh to repair the Tandava gate. We’ve completed the repairs with Rs 5 lakh, and we’ll install new gates once the crop season starts.” He also accused former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of misconduct. “Jagan Mohan Reddy looted the State’s sand, but in this constituency, it was the former MLA and his followers.”
The Speaker extended an invitation to Jagan. “I invite Jagan Mohan Reddy to the next Assembly session. Let’s meet face-to-face. He avoids the Assembly because he fears having to salute me.”
Ayyanna Patrudu also addressed illegal sand mining, revealing, “Illegal sand mining in Gummadigonda and Allipudi resulted in Rs 2 crore being looted. We seized 48,000 metric tonnes of illegal sand in Narsipatnam and imposed Rs 18 crore in fines, all due to the actions of the former MLA.”
“We will give opportunities to those who work hard. Those who disrupt progress won’t be given any chance,” he added. He reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling promises made by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, particularly regarding the Tandava Lift Irrigation Project under Polavaram, estimated at Rs 2,900 crore. “I will ensure its completion in the coming days and repay the trust of the constituency’s people. I won’t deceive them.”
Ayyanna Patrudu reaffirmed his dedication to infrastructure development. “I am working to provide essential infrastructure to villages in every possible way.” RDO VV Ramana and other leaders from Natavaram mandal were also present.
