Former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, along with former MLAs Samineni Udayabhanu and Kilari Rosaiah, joined the Jana Sena Party (JSP) on Thursday. YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders, including Avanapu Vikram and his wife, also made the transition to the JSP.
The three leaders were welcomed into the JSP in the presence of Jana Sena chief and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan at the party’s state office in Mangalagiri. Pawan Kalyan admitted them into the Jana Sena by draping them in party scarves.
Balineni Srinivasa Reddy was a prominent leader of the YSRCP in Prakasam district and served in the cabinet of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. He is also closely related to the YSR family. Samineni Udayabhanu served as the government whip in the previous administration and was a significant leader of the YSRCP in the Jaggayyapet constituency. Kilari Rosaiah was elected to the Assembly on a YSRCP ticket from the Ponnuru constituency in Guntur district. Tensions within the YSRCP, particularly with Jagan Mohan Reddy, prompted their decision to join the JSP.
Additionally, Ongole-based businessman Kandi Ravi Shankar and film producer Chittamuru Pravin Kumar Reddy also joined the JSP.
Former DCMS Chairperson Avanapu Bhavana and her husband, YSRCP youth wing leader Avanapu Vikram, joined the Jana Sena Party as well. JSP leader and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar, along with other leaders, were present at the event.
Pawan Kalyan urged the Jana Sena leaders and activists to work diligently to strengthen the party. A large number of supporters of Balineni, Samineni, Kilari, and Avanapu gathered at the JSP office for the occasion. Among those who attended the programme were MLC P. Hariprasad, MLA Arani Srinivasulu, TIDCO Chairman Vemula Ajay Kumar, Guntur district JSP president Gade Venkateswara Rao, and Prakasam district president Sk. Riaz.
Later, speaking to the media, Samineni Udayabhanu stated that he joined the Jana Sena without any conditions and pledged to work towards enhancing the JSP’s strength.
