Banks must give loans unconditionally to poor: Eatala

The BJP’s Malkajgiri MP, Eatala Rajender, said that banks should give loans to the poor unconditionally and that the number of ration cards should be reduced in the country.
“People should come to a state that they will say that they don’t want freebies. The country should go in that direction… People must stand on their feet,” he said.
Participating in the first PM Vishwa Karma anniversary meeting at the National Institute for Training, Vidyanagar, on Friday, Eatala said that banks should give loans unconditionally to the poor.
Women’s groups are repaying 98 per cent of their loans, however, bigwigs are avoiding repaying bank loans. People who have skills and innovative ideas will create wonders if financial help is extended to them, Eatala said.
He said that vocational workers will benefit society as a whole and so there is a need to protect vocations . There is a need for society to change their mindset towards vocational workers and they should not be looked down upon.
Prime Minister Modi introduced the PM Vishwa Karma Scheme as there is poverty and hunger in the nation even 77 years after getting freedom.
Later, Eatala handed over certificates to persons who completed the PM Vishwakarma training.
