Backward Classes Youth Welfare Association State unit general secretary Kattekolu Deepender on Saturday expressed his solidarity with the agitating Panchayat Rak workers, Karobars and Bill workers.
Addressing the panchayat Raj workers, he demanded that the government resolve the just demands of the protesting workers and wanted it to make their services permanent.
The State government should not ignore the demands of the Panchayat Raj workers who were keeping the villages clean, he said, asking the government to amend GO No.51 and cancel the multi-purpose worker policy.
He also wanted bill collectors and kilobars to be appointed as junior panchayat secretaries.
As per the 11th PRC, their basic salary should be fixed at Rs 19,000 and sought insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh to them. He also sought to implement ESI and PF to them.
