A bear, which had been scaring the people in the area for the last few days, was finally captured on Friday at Shikareswaram near the hill shrine Srisailam.
A bear had been roaming around the hill shrine for the last few days and the movements of the bear scarred the devotees. The forest officials set up three cages in three places.
The bear entered into one of the cages and got trapped. Deputy Director of Forest Alag Chang Teran said that keeping in view the incident that took place in Tirumala in which a leopard killed a girl, all needed arrangements were made to capture the bear. The captured bear would be released in dense forest, he added.
