Sleuths of the Enforcement Directorate are now probing leads that the Begumpet Airport was the conduit for moving money pertaining to the liquor scam through private chartered flights. In this regard, it is believed that the money was transferred through Jet Set Go chartered flights.
Following leads, the ED is looking into details of flights operated by Jet Set Go. Jet Set Go founder and CEO is Kanika Tekriwal Reddy, who is married to Aurobindo Pharma whole-time director P Sarath Chandra Reddy.
ED officials have already arrested Aurobindo Pharma Director Sarath Chandra Reddy. Sarath’s wife Kanika Reddy is closely related to Abhishek Boinapalli.The Enforcement Directorate has written letters to the Airports Authority to provide details of the activities of Jet Set Go. The ED has reportedly got the list of those who had taken the special flights. As per the letter written to AAI last month, ED sought data on “Details of all the operations of the charters of JetSetGo Aviation Services Private Ltd from the date of incorporation till date. Copies of passenger manifest in respect of such charters and details of managers of the aircrafts”.
The ED has already collected details of Jet Set Go’s operations and transaction data. It is reported that ED has collected the list of those who had boarded the special flights. As there is no proper screening at the Begumpet Airport, which is in the hands of a private security agency, it seems VIP vehicles went directly to the runway. The masterminds of the liquor scam are suspected to have moved the money along with the VIPs.The ED suspects that the scam took place under the wings of political leaders of Telugu states. As per the company’s website, Kanika is founder, Sudheer Perla is co-founder, and cricketer Yuvraj Singh is investor.
