Bhadrachalam Congress MLA Podem Veeraiah filed a complaint at the Bhadrachalam Police Station against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. In his complaint, Veeraiah said the CM failed to fulfil his promise to the victims of the Godavari floods.
It may be recalled that KCR visited Bhadrachalam on July 17, 2022, and assured the flood victims that he will construct a Karakatta and double-bedroom houses for the people of the low-lying Subhash Nagar colony at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore to protect them from floods.
Podem Veeraiah filed the complaint as one year was over on July 17, 2023, after KCR made his promise. He asked the police to take action against the CM for not sticking to his word.
