Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka emphasised the need for collective efforts to establish global peace, while inaugurating the Kanha Shanti Vanam Wellness Centre at Chegur under Nandigama Mandal in Shadnagar constituency on Thursday.
The Deputy Chief Minister also launched holistic wellness centre, ‘Wellness by Heartfulness,’ during his visit, marking a significant stride towards promoting health and well-being in the region.
The Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated the Kanha Shanti Vanam Wellness Centre on Thursday by lighting a ceremonial lamp, where he stressed the role of meditation in achieving mental transformation and global peace. He lauded the centre for its focus on meditation, describing it as a vital resource for the local community, offering comprehensive facilities for those seeking spiritual solace.
Vikramarka praised the centre’s efforts to make meditation accessible to everyone, particularly those unable to afford long journeys or high expenses. He noted the centre’s dormitory facilities, which allow individuals from all backgrounds to meditate free of charge, regardless of caste or religion. The centre also offers training in agriculture on scientific lines and the cultivation of medicinal plants, providing visitors the opportunity to learn sustainable farming practices.
Shadnagar MLA Veerlapalli Shankar, along with former MLA Choulapalli Pratap Reddy and other local leaders, submitted a petition to Deputy Chief Minister. The petition urged the immediate initiation of work on a reservoir at Lakshmidevipalle village, Jillade Chowdergudem mandal as part of the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation project.
Acharya Dr Srivarma, Chief Medical Director of Wellness by Heartfulness, highlighted the centre’s focus on holistic medicine, which is essential for addressing various health issues. The facility offers a variety of treatments, including Polarity Healing, Quantum Healing, and AYUSH therapies, all provided in a luxurious, eco-friendly setting.
