Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has announced good news for Podu farmers and declared distribution of pattas to the lands being cultivated by them under Podu. Podu is a part of shifting cultivation.
It may be recalled that the Congress leaders during the poll campaign mentioned giving free pattas to Podu lands.
He visited Suryapeta of erstwhile Nalgonda district and stated that the Congress government would implement six guarantees and esnsdure that the benefits reach every eligible person irrespective of his or her political affiliation..
Claiming that their government is the government that works for the people, the minister said that out of six guarantees two are under implementation and two more are ready for implementation on February 27.
He said that Priyanka Gandhi would launch the scheme of giving an LPG cylinder for Rs 500 only and also the scheme to provide 200 units of power per month free of cost to the poor.
