Bhatti urged ensure timely complete of SLBC

CPI-M leaders, led by former MLA Julakanti Rangha Reddy and party district unit secretary Mudireddy Sudhakar Reddy, submitted a memorandum to Bhatti Vikramarka.
The CPI-M leaders highlighted that around 3.20 lakh acres of irrigation and drinking water needs of hundreds of villages depend on the Srisailam Tunnel project. The work on the project began 19 years ago, it still remained incomplete.
They stressed that the current estimated cost the project has escalated to Rs 4,658 crores. Completion of the project would improve water supply to Hyderabad city and Nalgonda district, they stated.

The leaders also called for the approval of the DPR and environmental clearances for the Dindi Lift Irrigation Scheme, which is part of the Palamuru-Rangareddy project, aimed at providing irrigation to 3.61 lakh acres in the districts of Mahbubnagar, Ranga Reddy, and Nalgonda.
